Using SimpleEraser
These terms apply when you use SimpleEraser at simpleeraser.com. By using the site you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What the service does
SimpleEraser is an online tool that uses AI to remove people or text from photos. You upload a photo, paint over the area you want removed, and the service returns an edited image. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
Free edits, credits and accounts
Each edit that returns a result uses 1 credit. New visitors get 2 free trial edits, and signing in for the first time adds 3 bonus credits to your account. If an edit fails and no usable image comes back, the credit or free edit it used is returned automatically. We may also give bonus credits for helpful feedback (25 credits once per account, plus 25 more once if we build your suggestion; we review each message by hand and decide what qualifies). Free trial edits and bonus credits are a limited resource with no cash value, cannot be refunded or transferred, and we may change how many we offer or how they are counted at any time.
Signing in is optional for free edits, but you need an account to buy credits. If you create an account, keep your sign-in details secure and use the account only for yourself. We may limit or suspend access when we see misuse.
Buying credits
- Credit packs are one-time payments in US dollars. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card details.
- Credits are added to your account once the payment is confirmed. Purchased credits don't expire.
- Credits are used in this order: free trial edits, then sign-in bonus credits, then purchased credits, starting with your oldest pack.
- Credits have no cash value. They can't be exchanged for money, transferred to another account, or resold.
Promotion codes
From time to time we may offer promotion codes. A code can only be used at checkout, one code per purchase, and may come with conditions such as an expiry date or a usage limit. Codes have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money. We may change or end a promotion at any time, and we may cancel credits obtained by misusing a code.
Refunds
Our full Refund & Cancellation Policy is on its own page. In short:
- You can get a full refund of a credit pack within 14 days of purchase, as long as none of the credits from that pack have been used. Email [email protected] from your account email and tell us the purchase date.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method, for the amount you actually paid. When a pack is refunded, its credits are removed from your account.
- Once any credit from a pack has been used, that pack can't be refunded.
- If an edit fails, its credit comes back automatically, so you don't need to ask. If you're unhappy with a result, email us and we'll take a look.
- Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
Cancelling and closing your account
Credit packs are one-time purchases. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically, so there is nothing to cancel. You can stop using SimpleEraser at any time. To close your account and have your account data deleted, email [email protected] from your account email. Closing your account does not by itself make remaining credits refundable; if an unused pack still meets the refund conditions, ask for the refund first. Remaining credits are lost when the account is closed.
Payment disputes
If something is wrong with a charge, please email us first. We can usually sort it out faster than your bank. If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, we may remove the unused credits from that purchase while the dispute is open, and we may limit purchases on the account if we see payment fraud.
Your photos
- You must have the right to upload and edit every photo you submit.
- You keep your rights in your photos. You allow us to process them only as needed to provide the edit you request, including the content checks described in our Privacy Policy.
- Only upload content that follows the content rules below. We may decline to process an image, for example if it is flagged by our content checks.
Content rules
You may not use SimpleEraser to upload, create or share:
- any content that sexualizes, exploits or endangers children;
- sexually explicit or nude content;
- graphic violence or gore;
- hate speech, or content that promotes violence or discrimination against people because of who they are;
- deceptive edits of real people or events, such as impersonating someone, misleading people about what really happened, or falsifying evidence, documents or IDs;
- content that harasses someone, or that violates someone's privacy, copyright or other rights;
- anything else that is illegal where you live.
Our automated content checks may block an image. If we find a breach of these rules, we may suspend the account, remove credits obtained through abuse, and report illegal content, including any child sexual abuse material, to the relevant authorities.
Reporting misuse: if you see SimpleEraser being misused, or believe an edit uses your photo or likeness without permission, email [email protected] with "Report" in the subject line and as much detail as you can. We aim to reply within 3 business days and act promptly on confirmed violations.
AI results can be wrong
Results are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. An edit might leave part of what you wanted removed, change areas you wanted to keep, or add details that were not in the original photo. Check every result before you use or share it. You are responsible for how you use the results.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- abuse the service, or interfere with or overload it;
- use scripts, bots or other automation to use the service, or to get around free-edit limits, including by creating extra accounts or using temporary email addresses;
- try to break, probe or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems;
- use the service in a way that breaks the law or harms others.
Availability and changes to the service
We may update, pause, limit or stop any part of SimpleEraser at any time. We don't promise that the service will always be available, error-free or fast.
Third-party services
SimpleEraser relies on third-party providers, for example for hosting, AI image processing, sign-in, email, content checks and payments. We are not responsible for services we do not control. See the Privacy Policy for how they are involved.
Disclaimer
SimpleEraser is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. This includes any warranty that results will be accurate, suitable for a particular purpose, or free of defects.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, SimpleEraser is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of the service or from results it produces. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which is nothing if you used it for free. Some places don't allow certain limits, so these apply only as far as the law permits.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using SimpleEraser after an update, you accept the updated terms.
